From what I can tell it's the same oldrim mod with a new zip filename. Basically, it is mod dependent. I had an esp only mod no external scripts, meshes, textures, bsa, etc that broke on conversion to 44 tried 4 times, resulting mod always failed however as a 43 it worked fine.
